“Create, Inspire, Empower: We make Change Work for Rebranding UDM” was the theme of the joint Administrative and Academic staff Seminar of the Universidad De Manila held at Tanza Oasis Hotel and Resort, Cavite last June 1-2, 2018.

The two-day seminar aimed to unite members of the university to work hand-in-hand to achieve its vision and mission. The seminar focused on the ALCUCOA Accreditation, Faculty Evaluation Tools and Republic Act No. 7877 or the Anti Sexual Harassment Act.

University President, Atty. Ernesto P. Maceda Jr. conveyed his yearning to bring Universidad De Manila to a higher level of success thus, after the CHED recognition of the 32 various programs offered by the university, UDM is aiming for an institutional accreditation.

Dr. Raymundo P. Arcega, the ALCUCOA President gave some guidelines on the requirements to be presented to the accreditors during their school’s visitations. His talk on “Nurturing Excellence and Sustaining Transformation” encouraged the UDM community to bond together for the common good. He challenged the UDM community of their significant role to achieve the noble goal to serve the privilege students of the city of Manila with free quality tertiary education.

The Human Resource Chief, Ms. Lorena Victorio, talked about “Faculty and Administrative Evaluation Tool.” She reminded everyone of the proper way to accomplish the SPMS form as required by the City Personnel Office.

Atty. Romeo P. Benitez, Director of LLLS, DILG, on R.A. No. 7877 or the Anti Sexual Harassment Act advised everybody to be cautious of his/her actions towards co-employees, particularly to the students who were protected by the said law.

The two days joint Academic and Administrative seminar revived once again the camaraderie between and among the UDM community.
