Students begin with interesting and challenging core courses in circuits, electronics, digital logic, microprocessor and micro controller systems, computer networking, programming, and the design of digital systems upon taking the Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (BS CpE).
After completing their core courses, students can then take more advanced courses in robotics, hardware-based systems and computer networks. The program culminates with students working on a two-term design project in order to apply all of the knowledge and skills that they have acquired.
Because of the training and background provided to them, Computer Engineering graduates will be able to function competently as:
- Academic Instructor/Professor
- Data Communications Engineer
- Hardware Designer
- Network Administrator/Manager
- Project Manager/Engineer
- Systems Manager/Engineer
- Systems Programmer
- Technical Support
